I had always felt nervous buying and committing to a piece of artwork in my home. I love nature, especially the ocean, but have never been drawn to traditional landscape paintings. I recently purchased two beautiful paintings from Kristi and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. From the moment I saw Kristiʼs artwork, I knew that it was the perfect fit for my home. I chose the paintings by instinct and feeling, and Iʼm so glad I did – they create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere that I love coming home to.

We first met Kristi at a local painting class she hosted, and were drawn to her sense of style, grace, and personality – both her artwork as well as her presence. After moving to our new home, we had a large blank wall that needed a focal piece, and immediately knew who to ask.

“Commissioning” something sounds more grandiose than it needs to be, and we were welcomed into her studio and home, where she just asked questions to learn more about us, where weʼre from, our life; it felt so easy and natural.

We gave Kristi a brief description of what we were envisioning in our space (even though we really didnʼt know), and then trusted the artist to create her art. The reveal was so fun! We absolutely love her final piece; it hangs proudly in our living room and is the first thing you see when entering the home ‒ and people are always drawn to it. It truly evokes a feeling, and we love how stunning it is. More importantly, even two years later, we still stop and remark how it reflects so many things, and seems to move and change in different lights; it grounds our home with warmth. Kristi is such a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend her.

After looking at Kristiʼs work online for weeks, she posted there would be an in-person showing so I jumped at the chance to see the piece I had been eyeing on instagram. When I saw it in person and Kristi and I began discussing what we felt in the abstract details, I was overcome with emotion and knew the painting was meant for me.

I love the art every day. It hangs in my dining room and truly elevates the space not only in design but in feeling. The large scale is both impressive and impactful. I find myself concentrating on different details often. I am thankful for Kristiʼs instinctual skills and how her art has blessed me.
